Regional OTR Company & O/O Needed, HOME EVERY WEEKEND (GASTONIA)

About Us:

Highways & Skyways Transportation, a regional carrier based in Gastonia, NC, has an immediate openings for experienced OTR Drivers (Class A CDL) both Company and Owner-Operators. We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused drivers with a strong work history and clean driving record.

1. OTR Company Driver Job Description:

Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2 position (not 1099)

TANKER endorsement required

Regional OTR – Southeast Region -16 states (Frequent lanes are Charlotte to Florida, Charlotte to Tuscumbia, AL, Charlotte, NC to Olive Branch MS, and Charlotte to Louisville KY)

2500+ miles per week

HOME EVERY WEEKEND (Friday or Saturday depending on the delivery schedule)

Compensation:

$.62 per mile, plus $.02 per mile Safety Bonus ($.64 total per mile)

$21.00 per hour for waiting time in excess of 2 hours, plus $1.00 Safety Bonus ($22.00 total per hour)

Pay Frequency: Every Friday via direct deposit

2. OTR Owner-Operator Driver Job Description:

Owner-Operators only, no Fleet owners.

Employment Type: 1099 pay, no W-2

TANKER endorsement preferred

2500+ miles per week

Compensation:

76% of the billed rate including FSC.

Pay Frequency: Every Friday via direct deposit

Highways & Skyways Transportation, LLC furnishes 53' dry van trailers. Loads are no touch, a combination of live load/ and drop/hook loads.

Company and Owner-Operator CDL Driver Requirements:

23 years of age

2-3 years of CDL A experience

Good/steady work history

MVR – 2 or fewer violations in the last 3 years.

No DOT reportable accidents or major violations in the last 3 years

No Failed or refused drug test during the previous 10 years.

No DUI or felony over the last 10 years

Company and Owner-Operators Responsibilities:

Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

Transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.

Load and unload cargo with attention to detail and care for the products being transported.

Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate routes and delivery schedules.
